Nutricook
As the lead industrial designer at Ammunition, I led the physical product development for Nutricook’s full portfolio of kitchen appliances and culinary tools. My focus was on breaking away from the cluttered, purely utilitarian aesthetic common in small kitchen appliances, replacing it with an inviting, joyful design language centered on everyday usability. Working closely with our UX, packaging, and engineering teams, I established a cohesive Visual Brand Language across the entire lineup, collaborating directly with manufacturing partners to guide the products from early concept architecture all the way through DFM and final production.
Key Contributions:
Scalable Design Language: Established a cohesive, multi-category design system across Nutricook’s entire appliance lineup. By defining core geometry, proportion rules, and consistent parting lines, I created a recognizable brand signature that adapts effortlessly from compact countertop gadgets to larger cooking systems.
User-Centric Engineering: Championed ergonomic touchpoints, intuitive handle geometries, and heat-safe interface clearances to make daily cooking and cleaning frictionless. Worked directly with mechanical engineering and tooling vendors through DFM to ensure precise tolerances, seamless component fit, and thermal performance held up in production.
Strategic Aesthetics: Balanced warmth and culinary utility through a thoughtful CMF (Color, Material, Finish) strategy and soft, approachable silhouettes. Moved away from cold, cluttered appliance norms to give the tools a fresh, inviting tabletop presence that elevates the modern kitchen.
